How can I see Y Touring’s work?

A lot of our work takes place in schools although some performances take place in studio theatres. If you would like to see the company in action contact our General Manager, Eleanor Lang, by email.

I would be interested to work with Y Touring Theatre Company as an actor. How should I apply?

We cast through casting agents and by association. However, you can send in your CV, photo and a cover letter at any time and we will keep your details on file and contact you if we think you might be suitable for something. Please send or email your details to our General Manager, Eleanor Lang . She will pass your details on to our Casting Director.

I am a playwright how can be considered for commission by Y Touring?

Our commissioning process is irregular and dependent on funding, we tend to work with a group of playwrights who are familiar with the company’s work and creative processes. However we are always looking when possible to work with new playwrights, send or email a script, CV
and covering letter to our General Manager, Eleanor Lang . Please do not expect an immediate response we are a very small team and usually very busy. Also in your letter we suggest you ask to be put on our mailing list so you can find out where our performances are – and let us know when you want to come and see one.

I would be interested to do a work placement / work experience with Y Touring Theatre Company, who should I write to?

Whilst there is no formal internship programme, you are welcome to email your CV and cover letter explaining your interest and availability to our General Manager, Eleanor Lang. Please note that we are not always able to offer work placements.

I am doing some research and would like to know more about Y Touring Theatre Company. I have specific questions on Y Touring’s approach to Theatre for Young People, Theatre in Health Education, Theatre of Debate or theatre about science?

Unfortunately due to the high demand of people studying theatre, we cannot always help with every specific request for extra information and can rarely offer interviews.
